I like how the show displays the beginner's dread of Sam constantly doubting if he's even capable AND Marisha's advanced dread of "WHAT DID YOU DO PHOTOSHOP WHERE'D MY PROGRESS GO".

Sam is to hard on himself.
He did incredibly well, given that this isn't something he's practiced and trained his hands to do.
In fact, there were some details I liked about his best of the three.

Sam's doodles and the "I SUCK AT ART" (which he totally ended up not) and the Liam in a heart/the S+L a little further down honestly gave me life.
How is it possible that so much blessing can be contained in a single man.

The new seating arrangement for having a guest works SO much smoother with babs in the middle! I also think that Sam has a lot of potential since he seems to know what is wrong with his mistakes he just hasn't learned how to process them yet. if he continues to try and learn how to draw i think his biggest obstacle aside from time would be perfectionism.

58:35 I love how Sam goes back in forth between "I'm crap at this" and "I'm great at this." It's so Sam! His final drawing came out so well. He had help but did most himself, and it was great seeing how he just kind of went for it at the end. This was very inspiring to see. Well, done to Babs and Marisha for these episodes!

Sam's Nott drawing is great. The sunken face with the uneven cheekbones and the nose. It fits her backstory way better than all the fan art where Nott is perfectly symmetrical, cute or even objectively good looking. She has to look a little tragic and worse for wear imo.

Sam being on here was really helpful. He did all the "I'm so bad" and "sorry" comments so that I didn't have to. It meant I could just focus on drawing.

One of the things I love about this is seeing Marisha progress and talk about how she's practicing between shows. It gives this really nice like...camaraderie with the show with those who are drawing along

As an artist myself, this is always so fun to watch. You can really tell Marisha is developing a style in her drawings!! Go Marisha. And honestly, Sam?? This is seriously so good for his first time. Like that is REALLY good. I hope he practices and will gain some security in his work with art. Keep it up guys!
