For anyone wondering, this is Maxim Vengerov playing.

This is definitely one of the Vengerov’s best performances.
I absolutely love this interpretation. The balance between the different strings is absolutely perfect, dialogue with the Pianist is mastered and all of the musicality is supported by fabulous control of the bow along with the left hand.
Fantastic to listen to it over and over!

I’ve heard a lot of repertoire, but this piece is one of the most challenging and musically rigorous to perform and pull off. It’s right up there with Paganinis caprices for the hardest stuff known to the violin.

The piano accompaniment is really reinforcing the rhythm, it’s almost acting like a metronome for the violinist. It’s a beautiful piece of music. It’s wickedly difficult but I would love to learn how to play the violin segment of it, I would have to practice hours daily. 🎼🎶🎵🎻
