"At the end of the day, the exchange rate is a reflection of what people who are buying or selling dollars think about how various aspects of this country is being managed especially its currency. Many big central banks such as US Federal Reserve and are expected to increase rates. It is natural that the price of the rupee vis-a-vis the dollar will fall," Dr Omkar Goswami, economist, said.
