Hi, thank you very much for sharing. I hope this would help me, too. I have a USB 3.1 gen 2 card with a ASM3142 chip. However the firmware update does not succeed. The only difference that I see is that my SSID is 1b21 and the SVID is 3142. Do you have any ideas how to resolve this?

Got an issue. The firmware does work, it updates and says pass. When I do signal test, I have my phone plugged into USB C port and my HDD into the Red USB port (back panel), they come up as pass. If I unplug these things and test again, they say fail. So that part is normal... my issue is "fixture test". They all come up as fail even when plugged in.

My original problem is that my USB C port and the RED USB port do not work, at all. Plug in my HDD, nothing. Plug in my phone, it tries to charge, but then disconnects, never appears on This PC. I'm convinced there is some kind of physical damage, either an overcurrent occurred somewhere along the line or it was DOA. I had never been able to use it. What do you think could be wrong with these ports?

Hi Giux! I do an update firmware to USB 3.1 ports ASM1142 with app "ASM114_MPTool" downloaded from station drivers and app say "PASS". After restart pc can not view my USB 3.1 Ports. When I try to update from DOS say "Can not find ASMT Host. Update firmware failed". From Windows ...."Your hots device is not ready". Now ...can not view FW Version in the ASM114_MPTool. Can be fix it?

i have a Z370 and i have a pcie 3.0 x1 usb expansion card that has 2 ports ; usbc and usb both supposedly 3.1 ... it works only in reading.. i mean it transfer from External enclosude NVMe at 650/700 Mb/s .... which is good, but as soon as i try to Write into the external drive, it gives me the error 0x800701b1 ?? does it mean there is something broken in my card or is it only a driver problem? (btw the card is a PCE1u1t-a33 )
