Powell has the right mindset and if he had control of our government then we would be in a much better recovery. You can blame our government politicians for the American hardship and it truly is sad and unjust how they hold the American people in hardship until after the election just to bet that their party wins and can therefore take the credit for the stongest economic expansion in human history. The American people if they had any clue (which they don't) should be rioting about this above all other issues.

Though I agree that we should go back to 'the Gold Standard, ' Mr. Powell does seem to be working 'with' POTUS in an effort to stablize the economy expediently, better than past fed chairmen.

Shut down the credit default swap market before you set in motion a deflationary spiral. Microcredit lending is of the utmost importance.
Put caps in credit card interest rates and create liquidity in the market.
