Yeah this has been around for a little while. Most people do it by putting hook velcro in the middle of the track so it hits the curved lip of the cover and goes under it to give the sensation of the detent. This is the first time I have seem someone put the velcro on the side like that though it looks like the adhesive catching debris could be an issue.
