SPS Reef Tank Upgrade: One Year Later

Its been one year since I upgraded my Red Sea Reefer 450 (~90g) to a Innovative Marine Nuvo 170g EXT. I did a lot of work on the tank over the year, as upgrading a reef using the same rock and coral is not always as straight forward as it seems. Even with all the work, I was able to achieve some amazing SPS and acropora growth. While I would say my tank did overwhelmingly positive, I did have some speed bumps along the way, and currently I am dealing with some slow tissue necrosis (STN) on some of my Acropora after finding a cracked heater.

Pumps: x2 MP40qd, 1 Tunze Stream 3 and 1 Maxspect Jump Gyre 4K
Skimmer: Deltec 1000i with inline CO2 scrubber
Sump converted to a frag tank
Return: Current USA eFlux DC pump (3000gph)
57w UV inline with return
ESV 2 Part dosing + Kalkwasser
Apex EL with Trident (alk/Ca/Mg)

Yup I just added fiji yellow toadstool finger leather and Japanese toadstool to my tank and I'm loving it

Great video, would love to do barebottom one day as I am more excited on SPS. Like how you dont let the little things get on your nerve but I also like seeing things recover and bounce back

My TGC Orange Creamsicle did the same. Encrusted for 1 yr 4 months and now it’s starting to get happy. Looks like it’s about to sport some branches finally.

In a past reef therapy the late Jake Adam’s mentioned how wrasse like that don’t necessarily need a sand bed. Wrasse like those will also find a nook in the rock like how 6 line wrasse do.

please give me or let me buy coral from you ill pay for shipping my local pet store does not have many coral and they are so basic such as gsp and a few dull mushrooms I have a very established nano tank and really love torches, hammers, small anemones and sps and lps I love it all please let me know if u will do it I subbed btw :)
