Removing bees from honey frames

In this video, I demonstrate how to remove bees from frames without using a bee escape or a bee blower (or leaf blower).

With two people, one person can shake the majority of bees from the frame towards the entrance of the hive. The second person can then use a soft bee brush to remove the remaining bees.

Once the frames are free of bees, then you can place the frame in an empty box. Some people use a sealed Tupperware box, but I just used an old nuc (nucleus) box that I had at home.

A great, concise video showcasing proper procedure for removal of bees from frames of comb! Thank you for this, I had never seen a bee brush in action before, so I'm glad the process is as intuitive as it seems!

Thank you, I keep my bees for same reason as you, and this was the first year they produced so much honey I found myself able to steal a few frames!
