Also, a friend (RN)at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, her Covid bonus after taxes was $146. That was her bonus for putting her life on the line every single day in the fight against Covid, that was her bonus for being a “Hero”.

Message from DeSantis: Our Nurses are either dead from COVID or quitting, out of state Nurses welcome to come and fill the empty positions, likely at lower wages and worst benefits.

Florida needs to pay up!!! The nurse shortage here will not go away even after COVID!! Every FL RN should be making a minimum of $30/hour!!

This shortage that they’re talking about is a bunch of BS! My wife is a nurse at TMH and she says that they’re bringing in so many Filipino nurses that are working for much less than they are! Why don’t they talk about that?! There is no shortage of nurses when they’re cutting back hours of nurses that have worked at those hospitals for a lot longer than the new Nurses coming in, And paying these new nurses less, Especially when they’re coming from the Philippines! And that is creating a racial issue now because those nurses are starting to feel some type of way towards the Filipinos. Let’s talk about real issues here!

I think there should be resprosity on licenses between states as long as the person isn't taking up permanent residence..Then they can work and apply if they want to move..

How to fix it? DeSantis has it under control but we need nurses? Get the virus under control. Do you have any clue as to what it's doing to Dr's and nurses, any at ALL. because I DO. I see it every single day in my wife. Idk how much more she can take on emotionally.
