North Korea to expand missile program in attempt to bolster nuclear arsenal

North Korea is kicking off the new year by stirring anxiety. Leader Kim Jong-un say he wants to develop a new Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system to beef up his country’s nuclear arsenal.

Building the nuclear force is for reliably protecting the dignity and sovereignty of the state and the people, and “its ultimate goal is to possess the world’s most powerful strategic force, the absolute force unprecedented in the century,” Kim said in the order promoting the officers.

Ok but like, NK understands that they’ll never be a threat right? And that their entire nation and regime is a joke yea? Legitimately they would not be able to strike the majority of targets they attempt, and would be completely wiped out if they tried. NK barely has the resources to properly defend itself against its Southern border, any larger nation that simply wants to take it, can simply walk their soldiers into Pyongyang with nearly zero issue.

Their military is poorly equipped, poorly trained, and poorly manned; most of their soldiers are abused and starved, and would GLADLY defect if given the opportunity. I really don’t see what foot the Kim’s think they they have to stand on here
