Dr. Wayne Phillips - EU Beach Cleanup 2019 #BeatPlasticPollution

The European Union in Thailand led by Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola and over 150 participants, including diplomats and Thai staff from the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand and public volunteers in carrying out a beach clean-up activity on Koh Sak, Pattaya.

The EU in Thailand wants to make a difference. We believe that the activity can be more than just an annual event. Our second annual Beach Cleanup at Koh Sak enables us to continue contributing to this meaningful research project. After trashes were collected, sorted, and counted, MUIC students will turn them into artificial reefs.

สหภาพยุโรปในประเทศไทยอยากให้การเก็บขยะไปไกลกว่าการทำแค่ปีละครั้ง และหวังให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างแท้จริง เรากลับมาทำกิจกรรม EU Beach Cleanup ที่เกาะสากอีกเป็นครั้งที่ 2 ด้วยความตั้งใจที่จะสนับสนุนโครงการที่สำคัญนี้อย่างต่อเนื่อง ขยะทั้งหมดที่เก็บในครั้งนี้ กลุ่มนักศึกษาจากมหิดลจะนำไปจัดประเภท นับจำนวน และนำมาประกอบเป็นปะการังเทียมต่อไป
