As someone with dysmorphia, I do highly relate to this. I've come to accept I won't like any picture I'm in and that's only because of how I view myself. It's made it easier for pictures to be taken of me, honestly. I hope anyone who relates to this is doing alright, and I wish you all the best.

I have the same issue. I had a really bad experience with this girl during the summer. I’m known for not liking to take photos in my friend group and I’m always their photographer. Well she decides that she’s special and she has a photo of me and her, but my other friends said it didn’t count bc I was wearing a mask. She started to try to take photos of me without a mask on and started full on chasing me. It was a horrendous experience, I just wanted her to leave me alone.

This is so relatable, some people are so insensitive to this kind of thing and just brush it off as “oh it doesn’t matter” or “you look fine what are you talking about”. Body dysphoria is a real thing. Be safe, stand up for yourself, and let people know your boundaries❤️

I am a photographer and sometimes try to take landscape shots where someone happens to be in it. If they ask me to delete the photo and it’s a good one I’ll tell them I will photoshop them out. If they say that they’d rather me delete it then I will. But I always hate having to delete the photo if it’s good. AND ITS ALWAYS THE MOST STUNNING BEAUTIFUL PERSON- LIKE WHATT😭❤️

I used to hate having pictures of myself taken and now I regret it since i can't look back at those memories. Im not the most confident in myself, but I want things to look back on when I'm older, with the people i love cause they're not always gonna be in my life. I can guarantee that when i was looking at a picture of my mom, I wasn't focusing on anything she might've been insecure about and I don't think my future nieces/nephews will either lol. No one thinks you're as ugly as you do, we're incredibly critical of ourselves.

As someone who relates with this, and is a very big fan of the song I’m abt to recommend ya’ll: check out ‘Not Photogenic’ by Utsu-P

It’s a very powerful Vocaloid song (very nice use of ‘growls’), like most of Utsu-P’s other songs. Just without so much of the metal and screech/scream that they use (which is also good, since I rlly like all of their other songs too-)

It’s pretty much just abt the issue in the video, abt having to always look presentable or “photo ready” when you leave the house cause people keep taking photos of you etc
