Okay, is it just me or can you tell that these guys are going to get big soon. Like no joke, this band is just so unique and has such a good sound that people are going to eventually have to know them. Because talent like this can't be ignored dude🤘🤘

All of My role models are for some reason unpopular, underrated and include the best trumpet sections in their songs.

Me: I’m a bit hesitant to listen to Role Models, but I’ll give it a shot.

The first line: “All my role models are on TV for the wrong reasons”

Me: _*instantly loves song_

It’s not an AJR song without or a trumpet

"Look at this mess, should I forget, what they gave to me?"
I might owe my life to some creators who turned out to be horrible people. My go to song for when I'm feeling overwhelmed was written by someone I don't want to be associated with anymore. I'm scared to get too attached to any group I admire because I never want to feel that pain again.

I've been listening to AJR's songs since 6th grade, through middle school(which I can say was some of the hardest years for most). I have cried to their songs, learned from them, related to them, and even found something to talk about with my older sister(who is in college). Every time I listen to this song, I remember that AJR are my role models. They have influenced my life in so many ways. I've never been able to tell what my favorite band is but now I know and nobody can change it. AJR will always be held in a special place in my heart because of the things they have taught me. I'm so glad they are getting more popular these days so more people can say the same thing I have.

"I wanna move out, but when I move out, who'll be proud of me?"

Best line in the song!! Underrated and sooo accurate for our current society! Love the paragraph about Kanye West too!

This is the most overlooked AJR song ever. I feel like everyone just forgot about it

When you look through older interviews of AJR, they always mention how Kanye West influenced their music production. And when you listen to the sincere plea of the song, it really hits how hurt they are by their "role models." Another song is well done, AJR. Well done.

1:51 "Look at this mess, wake up Mr. West" Hits kinda different now 😶

Your recent song ‘Normal’ really hits home, literally. I’m currently going to college 2000 miles away from my home town. I remember listening to The Click every morning on the winters bus ride to school. Now I feel like I can’t listen because it will make me homesick. Anyways, all sad shit aside. You guys are great at what you and please keep up those catchy tunes.
