Comedian Rickey Smiley recently discovered a lovely and unexpected moment in his life: he found out he was the father of 5-year-old twin girls.

The revelation was announced after the crushing loss of his eldest son, Brandon Smiley, who sadly died of a drug overdose in 2023.

In a personal interview for the web video "The Smitty and Dee Show," Rickey shared how he found out he was the father in 2024 after his ex-girlfriend found out in a lawsuit that the man she believed was the father wasn't.

Smiley later admitted that he was the biological father, but this came as a surprise, especially since he'd known the girls his whole life.

Rickey learned that the revelation came just before the first anniversary of Brandon's death.
