Get notifications back on your lockscreen on Samsung phones!

For some reason Samsung decided to not put notifications on lockscreen by default. Well in today's video I'll show you how to get the notifications back on lockscreen.

I figured it out for those who cannot seem to make it work! In lock screen, you have two mini lock screen pictures which you can click. Click on the lockscreen one which is on the left (not the lockscreen widget one, which is on the right) and then click on the icons. You can change then from icon only to details.

Finally someone showed how to do this. Thank you. No clue why they don't put these options and toggles in the 'Notifications' section instead.

For one ui 6 now this settings are under lock screen customization. Just press hold your lock screen and you will get the options for notifications settings. This is a very stupid decision by samsung to hide settings this way.

To do this on the Galaxy A15 5G, which I have, go to Settings>Lock Screen and scroll to the bottom. Tap Edit Lock Screen, it's blue text. Tap on the icon box, it's tiny I know, then select Details and then tap Done. One of the lock screen options is Tap and Hold to Edit but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Something to consider, some companies send 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) text messages such that you can read the 2FA code in the abbreviated notification message. If you have lockscreen notifications ON and "Hide content" is OFF, a phone thief could access 2FA codes without needing to unlock your device.

Android 14 Galaxy s21 settings, lockscreen and aod (if you have that), under" looking for something else?" edit lockscreen. Tap the icons directly below the time and date (below widgets+). Options : none, icon only, details. Select details and a preview of what you should see on lock screen will appear. You can then adjust the size of the notification banner.

Figured it out. You just have to long press your screen (You would have to enter your password). Click icons. Choose details.

One thing I miss (on the S25) is the ability to just have the small notifications pill/icon under the clock, with the option to tap on it to expand all notifications.

Now you either have to have the full cards or the small icons in the top bar.

The thing i miss about my Note 9 was the little light in the top left corner that turned on blue or white depending on the notification. So it could be silent and no vibrate, but even *idle* (on but phone screen dark/off) i knew I had a message or something.

do you have to swipe to open the notification app? i just got the s21 and never samsung before and it has me swiping everytime if i want to open the app after i double tap it. no other android phone or iphone does that and its an extra step thats annoying

I have s24 fe. Is there a way to get some kind of notification when you have it in lock screen with black background. I want a blinking light or notification showing without having to push the side buttom.
