Insulating Off Grid Tiny House Loft Today

I took Felix the cat in this morning to get fixed. After that I started putting insulation in the off grid tiny house loft.

I had to take Felix in early to drop him off at the vet. He was getting neutered and getting rabies shots. That took me about an hour and a half round trip.

Then I had breakfast with a friend in exchange for some help.

After that it was back to work in the tiny house on wheels.

I did not have much time because I had to pick Felix back up in the afternoon but I did get one wall of insulation nearly done. It took me longer than it should because I had to find all my tools after the wind storm threw everything all over the place.

Tomorrow the job should go pretty fast though.

The sun was shining brightly and in the morning the off grid solar battery bank was already in absorption mode. This is a very good thing.

Throw on a dust mask when working with that stuff! Also don't forget those gaps by the floor. Looking better!

Maybe use the trunk in front of you couch for storage, if there is room.
Kind of like a coffee table.

Troy just an idea if you need extra seating for guests that chest would be good for that with bonus of storage. if its not high enough make a little raiser for it

Yep, this is the sort of stuff you need to work on in the winter. I know it won't make it any more functional but I would like to see the trim on the window frames finished. I know that is a low priority, still.

Sounds like my cat Ozzy. he is just as rough with my youngest cat. He will calm down a bit though, but he will still play hard when he decides to. Ozzy is a 13 pound black massive black cat. 3 years old and he is panther status.

Troy, the amount of work you do is really showing. You keep plugging away with nobody to to appreciate your daily toil. I'm here to tell you, I watch daily, and appreciate what you do. Once Melanie is there and you have your own Cheerleader, I'll expect to see things really progress at a rapid pace. it makes all the difference in the world with someone at your side. You are loved but don't hear it enough.

It would be nice to put a desk by that loft window. :-)

Felix should be no worse for the wear but a lot calmer and less rough housing with Baby Cat. Best of all, no unwanted kittens. Don't worry, he wont hold the surgery against you. Looks like the insulation is coming along nicely but interruptions always make it a lot harder to get things done. After all that wind I think some of your tools ended up in my yard and I'm not giving them back. lol

When you are making furring strips for your walls, do make more for your ceiling. Your ceiling insulation looks like they are about to fall on the floor, make hem 12 inch apart to keep the air gap!!

Great video progress: View of country side instead of yourself during monologue. Normal speed instead of fast motion allows viewer to see the sights instead of blur. 3 different segments instead of just one.
