USJ Heights residents baffled over regular break-ins

Residents of USJ Heights in Subang Jaya, Selangor lament at lax security at the gated housing community after a series of burglaries happened there.

They are upset that the security features in the neighbourhood do not work to prevent such incidents.

Buat rukun tetangga. Kejiranan kami dulu banyak kes pecah rumah hampir setiap bulan, lepas kami buat rukun tetangga..dah xde dah dekat setahun lebih. Tak perlu cctv, tak perlu pak guard. Persatuan penduduk boleh buat jadual giliran bertugas. Selain menjaga keselamatan dan meronda, petugas juga boleh kenal mengenali dan beramah mesra sesama jiran tetangga. Kejiranan lebih selamat bila lebih rapat. Mcm kampung, u boleh kenal seseorang tu org luar ataupun jiran.

Makes me think that there might be a resident robber living inside the gated community. He / she is passive and won't get involved in the actual robbery. But watch fellow residents patterns and earmark the next victims.

It baffled me to see these thieves can casually walk around the house, as if they have been/work there for some time. The authorities need to work out on this issue before it become worse.

Sounds like an insider job. The housing committee should consider changing the security company and have a new batch of guards.

This is an old news - the security team has been changed, systems improved and guards are stationed at every nook and cranny of USJ Heights. This is still one of the best places to live in USJ, I have lived here 8 years now.

Inside job? lol i don’t think so. u can walk in there easily, usj height right?. the only tight security house area is desa park. they locates security officers at all angle. and the get the best company to handle the project.

Shouldn't they be complaining to the housing committee, which they are part of? They can change the security company and fix the cctv and work with local police, nothing to do with developer if it has changed hands. I wouldn't rule out an inside job, even if they are in a wealthy neighbourhood. Keep an eye out for people who pretend to talk on hp whilst walking or jogging pass houses. This is usually their MO to case a house before robbing.

Well, the flaws lies on the human respond teams,
No SOP,
NO EARLY Warning system.
No Arm guards and K9 respond team.
If a car can enter at wee hours of the morning.
Guards are not doing their job,

Advise to add on your own security features, such motion detection, alarm system, cctv within your own perimeter and inside your house.

With so much of security features yet burglary can still happen! CCTV cameras are supposed to be in tip top condition. Non residents should show their IC upon entering the guarded community. Residence at high end residential areas pay a substantial amount for security. The residents association should be responsible in hiring guards. I don't doubt all them but at times it could also be an insider job.
