It's kinda unfortunate how due to historically lacking representation we have a situation where people who want to see two men having a platonic but emotionally supportive relationship and people who want to see a romantic relationship between two men are driven to kinda "compete" over the same characters. And this could have totally been avoided if Riot's management would have just let the writers make explicitly gay male characters and then we could also have close platonic male friendships without assumptions that they have to be gay.

I really love Zed aka Usan aka Govos. He is such a good character to me.

Fun fact: Zed never had A CHANCE at that fight with Shen. He was only able to enter the Kinkou as a warrior because of an extremely noble act of compassion on Shen's part, which let himself get hit.

This is one of the main reasons why Shen resented Zed's rebellion so much... y'know, massacre and patricide aside.

there is love between the two yeah, but its the love you have for a brother, someone who after having childhood hardship, could share that hardship with you and grow with you, shen grew to meditate more, thinking about what could be better done, and zed grew to see that meditating while Ionia burns will achieve nothing and that his blade has the force to prevent the fire, Jhin being this impossible to fight serial killer also helped, as even Ionia can produce rotten flowers

About his design (we will get to that in two days I guess), it's kinda weird for me the fact that the concept is super generic (shadow ninja, duh) but the execution is... Not? I never seen a character with that "visual composition". But take my comment with a grain of salt, because that might come from the fact that I have never consumed or had interest on any ninjas-related media.

Im gonna be honest, I don’t see the gay connection there. It’s a valid interpretation, to see them as homosexual, but I don’t think this was intended that way. And I don’t think many people see it that way. The constant usage of „brother“ and the fact that he is basically adopted makes this whole thing weirder and personally gives me more of a „Anakin and Obi-Wan“ vibe. As I said I don’t think that this Interpretation is invalid or wrong, just that it’s kinda hard to see for me and others.
