Huge W, also pretty hyped that NSO is coming back for Switch 2, since that means we will still have access to all of the retro games most likely. I know Nintendo had already talked about bringing it back but nice to have confirmation about it and backwards compatibility.

I mean, it's not really a surprise. Would have been more shocking if it wasn't. Nintendo has always been good with backwards compatibility.
Wii could play gamecube games. Wii u could play wii games. DS could play gameboy games, and 3DS could play DS games. Switch didn't have backwards compatibility, but that makes sense cos if you put a disc drive to play wii u games, that would make it a lot harder for the switch to be portable.

Hopefully the new console up scales the quality of Switch games (frame rate, graphics) there’s especially third party games that need improved quality.

I thought it was almost certain to be backwards compatible but it's great to hear confirmation.
