Lego star wars has been around for 25 years, and between all of these waves of sets, the 2012 era of Lego Star Wars must be one of the most iconic and beloved years of all time, and in today’s video I want to assess why I think that 2012 was the Best Year of Lego Star Wars

Can’t agree more with the preference for how the set selection used to be more diverse back then. I also really like how each set had a ‘chase’ minifigure that wasn’t always necessary but was a really high quality figure that made the set more desirable. Most of those special figures hold up really well today.

2012 is when I started and I had the majority of the sets that were 40$ or less. I love all these sets so nostalgic. Palpatines arrest is perfect and I regret giving away any of it :( I started fresh in 2020 and would love to get my old sets back.

the Republic striker class starfighter is a set i really regret not getting, but hopfully i'll find it on the secend hand market in the future.

2012 was a good year, but i also think 2013, 2014, and 2017 were good years to, i mean 2017 gave us so many different sets from movies and TV shows.
