Pros and Cons of Owning a Hamster

Hello everyone! Today's video is the Pros and Cons of Owning a Hamster, featuring all three hams! ;D The two new hams are doing very well. Since Bambi is still a baby ham, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make some baby hamster care tip vids so look out for those within the next couple of weeks!
School is almost over so that means summer, which also means many more new videos! I had a Russian dwarf hamster (he was 3 years old) I remember he used to run on his wheel when I was watching him and he would stop and look at me too see if I was still watching (I miss you Nutty)

Most of these cons can be fixed :
Ex. Noisy at night?-get a silent saucer
Stinky cages?-bigger cage and well ventilated
Need large cages and expensive?- get a bin cage

Random hamster story

OK so when I went to buy my hamster at my near by small pet shop the guy there would not stop asking questions and me being 10 was just like "Mom explain to this guy I know what I'm doing" the guy had a crazy outburst and wouldn't sell us the hamster so we called the manager and the guy got fired my hamster lived a long almost 4 years.

Just got one 2 days ago. And i lavished him with DIY toys and platforms...i guess another con is.
YOU WILL GET ATTACHED TOO QUICKLY. QAQ And that expect to be ignored... i crave his love.. i see other ppl's hamsters licking them and snuggling..and mine..everytime i sit up..he hides and holes himself up in his cave all day long.... u.u

the nocturnal con is ok with me im nocturnal!!! i stayed up at 1 2 3 4 5 6 am! but when i do sleep i uh tend to be a heavy sleeper xD

I agree that hamsters are the best to introduce into the small pet world. I got a Robo dwarf on my and I fell in love with caring for her. 2 years later and I now have 4 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 3 mice, a Syrian hamster, 7 betta fish, and a hermit crab. (Unfortunately my Robo named Penelope died from unknown cause when she was 7 months old) but I'm so thankful that I got her because with out her I wouldn't have found my passion for small animals

noise doesn't bother me at night I can't sleep with out noise. My dog barks when he wakes up and my mom uses the blender I just sleep through it all.

I'm debating whether or not I should get a hamster tomorrow, that's what lead me to this video. After finishing it, I feel more committed to the idea too! This past year I've lost both my dogs, whom I loved with all my heart and then some. Im 23 and I live alone, so it gets a bit too quiet and kinda loanly at night. I've had hamsters, rabbits and guinniepigs as a kid so I already know how to care for them and maintain their enclosure ect. Only thing I'm worried about is weather or not I'm actually ready for a new pet in general.. Loosing my dogs was by far the worst thing I've ever been trough, and it really messed me up emotionally and mentally. I know that a hamster won't be like the endless love and loyalty you get from a dog, but I hope that having a hamster to care for, snuggle with and just simply have something to talk to - might just be what I need in order to start filling the void in my chest. I think that would be good for me. Anyways, thank you for this great and informative video! It actually really motivated me, and made me feel like this is the right choice for me
