The best answer is going to depend on the user and their needs. Need to tow? Need highway speeds? All that kind of stuff. Work vans are the same way... size it for your business.

One is used for work
The other is used for grocery shopping

in the 90s, trucks were built to be used in work but post rescission SUV culture infected that, minivans are pretty good cars to be considered

Kei for the city, full size for the country.

You also forgot that you are comparing class 1 micro van to a class 2 pickup that borders on class 3. The micro van has 770lb payload, the f250 has 3-5 times that (2100 to 3500 lb payload) depending on configuration. The difference is even greater when comparing towing capacity. A better comparison would be the honda acty vs a ford ranger.

An old American truck would beat the new American truck too

"Japanese trucks are bad cuz fuel efficiency" is something I've actually heard before

It’s like comparing a microwave to a fridge. Which is more useful? It depends.

Bro did not mention the Price 2, 500$ Japan truck and 30, 000$ American Truck

If I'm on a farm and need something to haul loads around the property, I'll get the kei truck. If I need something with more towing capability I'll get the f250. They both fill a niche of their own respectively and ultimately serve different purposes while also filling the same as trucks. All in all it boils down to preference and the kind of work you'd need it for

You can go far more places in the kei truck... narrower, fits between the trees, lower, fits under the lower branches, lighter, if it needs a bit of help to fit somewhere the F Series won't fit, you can lift it easily ...youll go faster in the F but you'll have more fun every time in the Kei.

If you need power American is the best option
If you need an reliable Japanese is the best option

No such thing as "sUpErIoR" when comparing literally two different vehicles.

The American Crew Cab is a vocational platform intended to haul 5-6 people and cargo with towing capabilities.

Most people that get the f250 only need a kei truck. Most people who own a kei would never think of owning a f250. I promise a lot more of world commerce relies on that little Japanese truck.

Depends on what I am doing. Quick grocery run and stop by the mall? Japan. Towing something large or going long distance? America because it has more room to stretch out, more amenities, and more comfortable.

The right truck for MOST people is a small hatchback, sedan or minivan. Rent a truck that 0.1% of the time you need one.

I don’t have a big ball ego showing people I can afford a 80 thousand dollars truck. I would love to buy a midsize Kei truck. They are so practical and economical.

I live in the Philippines where these japanese trucks are common and american full sized trucks are still fairly common sight. The japanese are much more used for hauling stuff but the american trucks such as a dodge ram 3500 i saw yesterday towed heavy farming equipments. It really depends. I’d rather have both

For me, a kei truck or kei van would be just about the most practical vehicle there is.

I got both. They'll both break down at one point or another.

Though for full clarity, mine are cars, not trucks.
