It took them 10 years-TEN YEARS to finally complete this phenomenal work of art.

In resisting the urge to fill the silence throughout this song with further instrumentation, they allow this heartbreakingly gorgeous melody & its melancholy lyrics to shine. Probably my favorite song by maybe anybody. This live version is truly a masterpiece as well.

Anyone else realised they were holding their breath there? Big exhale at the end. Utterly sublime.

Tom Yorke's ability to follow the same tune with the same inflection, and the same shifts, as his album versions in unbelievable.

Thom Yorke just has an intimacy with his music that you don’t see very often

Thom’ voice is an instrument in its own right. Outstanding!

Don't get any big ideas
They're not gonna happen

[Verse 1]
You paint yourself white
And fill up with noise
But there'll be something missing

[Verse 2]
Now that you've found it, it's gone
Now that you feel it, you don't
You've gone off the rails
[Chorus]
So don't get any big ideas
They're not gonna happen

[Outro]
You'll go to hell for what your
Dirty mind is thinking

The guitar part in the second part of the verse that Johnny plays is ridiculously creative. It's not that hard to play but I can't think of any other guitarist that would've come up with that rhythm and voicing.

The way Thom Yorke hangs off that last word in what I guess is the bridge... "You'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking...." All the ache and longing in his delivery. Just unbelievable. We've all been there, I don't care who you are.

Anyone else think of Kurt opening his eyes during a similar vocal break, bridging "where did you sleep last night" into its outro? Thom pulls us in deeper in that moment. 3:02 Incredibly vulnerable. "Naked as the eyes of a clown." Nude.
