Nobody wants to use hall effects. They wanna sell replacement modules.

they just need to offer replacement modules for 20-30 bucks for the thumb stick/buttons/dpad then they’d be a really good competitor for the dev since stick drift is a quick replacement to fix.

Good point. There is $60 controller with hall effect.
Granted the nice thing is this takes one second to replace

That’s why they have an option for you to set up and replace or re-calibrate your controller for stick drift. That’s probably why they didn’t put Hall effect.

They do have Hall effects just gotta pick them up separately

Fighting game player here, something else that I’m not a fan of is the trigger lock feels faulty. If you lock it, it slowly slides back to being loose with use. I use my left trigger as a dash macro and a button I use to plink during very important combos. I play a rather high execution character so it’s pretty frustrating to either readjust it or try to get used to its new feel on the fly.
Other than that? Amazing modular controller. I can’t speak for the analog issue since I bought it for fighting games and I never use them.

I saw the thumbnail and thought that was a trackball insert. I was sorely disappointed to find it was, in fact, not a trackball.

Pretty sure that the magnets might mess up the hall effect sensors

Big thing for me would be the d-pad and fightpad buttons. I would be using it for street fighter.

got this used it for 2 days immediately took it back and got the dualsense edge and couldn't be happier such a better quality controller and faster

They sell a set of hall-effect modules on their website I think for like $40... So if you love everything about this controller but want hall-effect sticks, you can just do that and have a PERFECT controller, because imo everything else about this thing is an absolute masterpiece.

I think that's actually what's good about this controller as someone that goes through a elite series controller every year and a half or so I'm definitely getting this controller as they are launching Hall effects sensors very soon and basically this thing is three controllers in one while also giving you the ability to update and replace worn out parts seems like a win-win
