I will agree ive witnessed myself the mess and litter some folk have left but believe these folk have no respect for themselves never mind their surroundings
BTW are you referring to Gibb hill as the large urn field close to the nine ladies

Interesting info jb i will have to look into the archaeology side a bit more .like yourself ive spent a lot of time over the years wandering sites in the uk and elsewhere one of my favourites being Goreme in Turkey .Been spending a bit of time at football just lately but off to Ingleby at the weekend to have a look around the small cave system at the side of the river trent ..camping of course..all the best ..steve

I will not make out ime some expert on stone circles but am led to believe that even these so called experts have not come to any real conclusions why the ancient tribes / clans built the monuments ..ancestor worship sounds as good as any..As for fucking up the circles don, t you think the early christians and landowners owe more to there destruction than a few camp fires ie Arbour low/ nine stones close the farmer has one of the stones built into his dry stone wall there .
