What Steve menead was that he didn’t want an iPhone or iPad that only could be controlled with an stylus, because a stylus to draw was a good idea but to use a stylus in everything and lost them and won’t be able to use your iPad was a bad idea

What everyone misses is the limitations of interface on old PDAs, they required styluses because of limited APIs and lack of/expensive technology (Capacitative touch) which is required to be used by humans. Steve Jobs ditched stylus in favour of capacitative touch screens. A decade later, styluses are brought back as creative tool.

Maybe steve jobs hated 2007 styluses, that were just a pointing device, they didn't have sensors or anything like the apple pencil that is more than just a pointing device

My question is where am I going to keep the stylus?  At least with my Surface Pro 3 I get a loop which works perfectly well.  I didn't see anything like that on the iPad Pro Keyboard.

Contrarians bloviating for the sake of arguing always amuse me; "Oh Apple sucks because they don't believe in the stylus!"...
"Oh Apple sucks because now they've relented and make a stylus!"...

I believe Jobs was talking about styli for phones and even the first gen iPads, but as iPads have become more prevalent as production tools the migration to a stylus was warranted, as the video suggests, for creative professionals to have more control and precision.

I've used both Wacom styli offerings for tablets and the Pencil by 53 (at about the same price as Apple's Pencil) on the iPad with mixed and disappointing results. The Apple Pencil seems to put all that grief to rest by finally getting it right with a less frustrating tool that does what creatives have been wanting of a stylus in their digital work flow and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

If it's not your thing, get over it and move on.

HTC jetstream made years ago and has an ative stylus that does the same as this for Apple pencil, but did more. I own one, love it.

the stylus is just a optional external pencil for professionals, as on of them, its extremely helpfull and accuraet for my job, i think it works in harmony and give it more value for the steve jobs concept

The apple sales have went down because iPads literally last you about 5 years I have my iPad 2 still and I use it perfectly fine it’s running iOS 9.3 and I have no issues with it. But apple thinks that just because a new one came out someone will get it that’s why the sales have been going down

My samsung note three works awesomely, I've drawn some damn good pictures on this thing. I also have a wacom bamboo. so this is as always a crazy, over expensive product that only appleheds will love.
