15 year old here. I also want to be a young author, I’m currently in the process of creating my first novel. At first, I only did it as a hobby and I didn’t even think about publishing it but now I feel like I want to. The only problem is, I don’t know how to. I’m scared that no one will read my book and then I’ll realize that it was just a big waste of time but at the same time, I still want to try. I’m still in school, I’m an amateur writer and I can’t afford an editor or things like that but I did do some researching and got a lot of tips on how to write and I also found out that I can self publish it. I’m still researching about the self publishing part ofc. If any of you have some tips and tricks that you could tell me, that’d be nice

My dream job used to be an author. heres a story i wrote in a few minutes during 5th grade:




I guess I was right. High school wasn't so bad. Everything's going fine. I quickly pick up my pink backpack and grab my lunch that I spent all morning making. I run over to my new shiny jeep and drive to school.

"Stacy! You made it, I thought you had a cold!" I said
"Clove, you idiot! I texted you like 5 times trying to tell you that I'm gonna make it!"
"Wait help I forgot my phone."
"Your not an idiot. your a disappointment."
"Thanks a lot." I said as I grabbed my math notebook.

I was at math, taking notes on algebraic equations.
"Lockdown. I repeat, Lockdown." Said Mr. Anderson on the loudspeaker. I don't remember there being a drill today. I ran to the cabinets and contorted myself into it. I looked for my phone, then realizing I forgot it at home.
Gunshots. I heard Gunshots, for the last hour I had been peaking through a small hole in the cabinet, watching my classmates head to a better place, heaven. I tried telling myself that everything was ok, but I knew it wasn't. I cried, silently. My eyes hurt and my feet were sore. I knew that it wasn't gonna be ok.

"You may go out of hiding." Said Mr Anderson, I've been stuck in a small cabinet for an hour and a half. The classmates that survived had went out of hiding and were crying. Our teacher had been unalived. I thought there wasn't a drill. I guess I was right.
