Betty Turtle and the Titan Exploring Octacopter, this has just about made my decade and beyond. I just finished reading Chasing Horizons so i am in a state of excited, anticipation already with the possibility of discovery through the Europa Clipper and Dragonfly.

Why aren't you landing in the vicinity of one of the lakes or seas? It would be extraordinarily interesting to see how hydrological systems made of hydrocarbons work. Just imagine how incredible would be to move along those shores...

I have two joint research projects for my Astro class and I have chosen to do them on this project. Great informational video. I hope to reach out to Dr Turtle with some questions!

Great video! One question I have is why can't they spend more money and integrate some kind of self contained nuclear reactor that can keep everything warm and extend the window of the mission substantially? Why spend all that money and only be able to work for "several" years? Maybe they can just add something like this that is a stand alone unit that can be left at the original landing site that could power the mission for decades?

the only thing im worried about is the sand on titan i feel like the drone is completely gonna be covered with sand over years. and i feel like you have to understand the environment you are in i feel like that is really important in traveling to the solar system each invidividual planet has its own evironment such as sandy, Hot, Cold, Icy etc. so yea i personally think that analyzing and understanding the environment is very important in traveling to other planets.

I wonder what would happen to the lander if it tries to land in a methane lake. It would def sink but what else would happen to it

this mission is too far away, should be launched in 3 years and go there on a fast way not slingshots and that. Also we should send more than 1 probe just to be sure 2 clones to different landing sites. Also land on Europe and dig into the ocean. Both in 6-8 years!
