All Piggies Choice products are designed by me specifically for guinea pigs
A great technique that actually works to tame your guinea pig! There are many little techniques I have developed over the yrs and this one is a super easy trick. I will start working on more taming videos ASAP and will share as soon as they are done!

Okay, no lie, this worked with one of my piggies after the very first try. I tried it a week ago, and she picked it up the very first time. She has also become more talkative with me as well. I am so glad I came across this video. Thank you!! I will be trying this method with my other 2 pigs as well.

It think inherently a guinea pig wants to be tame, they don't want to be scared and skittish, hard to catch and running all the time. So If you interact with them in the right way and through this
technique you are really guiding the animal to come to the same conclusion and that is - Well those humans are not as scary or dangerous like we thought. And you do this by a planned interaction where really the pigs are in charge and they will figure that out soon. So as they are navigating and figuring out what we are asking of them they unbeknownst to them become tame as an extra bonus and fear of being picked up goes away.

I think someone gave you a baby wombat and said it was a Guinea pig lol

Yes, this technique absolutely works, and works wonderfully! Both my boys picked up on it very quickly (and they're about a year apart in age).

Over here in the UK that colouring is a new variety called 'Tweed' :) although some chocolate coloured pigs can get similar markings that they can grow out of and that's called 'grizzling'
Very beautiful little boy!!

Ok, this technique is brilliant! My daughter is on day three training our 2 piggies (both two years old males) and they’ve already got it down! Easy to pickup and put back in their cage. Now lap time, grooming, checkups are a much calmer affair.
Thanks Saskia! x

I would love to see more taming tips. I do this with my babies every time, but they still don’t get it.

I had to come back and let you know. I tried this one my piggy that tends to squirm a lot when being placed on the cage and on the play pen and it worked like a charm!!!! I was amazed by how quickly it happened. By the third day she was not squirming at all. Thank you so much;

Gahh she makes this look so easy! I have two girls, one of my girls is already more chill than the other and she picked it up pretty easy id say two or three days. My other girl, she is putting up a STRUGGLE!! 🤦🏽‍♀️😫 and they are both real little so it's hard to hold on to them...ill keep trying

Gonna start this with my albino Latte. Thanks for the tips guys xx
Edit: this worked a treat. Latte never zooms off now he just plops down and walks off. Brilliant. Just did it once. X

I’m definitely going to try this with my girls. I can pick them up fine, they don’t run away. It’s the putting down that’s the struggle. Hopefully this will work! I’ll pop back and let you know in a few days time xx
