In this video, we explore the difference between accessibility and inclusive design, and their importance in creating a positive user experience for people with disabilities. With 1 billion people, or 15% of the world's population, suffering from chronic disabilities, it is crucial for designers to consider the needs of this demographic when designing digital products.

We begin by discussing accessibility design, which focuses on personalizing products to ensure that people with disabilities can access essential digital products effectively. Examples of accessibility design include ramps for wheelchairs and blind-only lanes on pavements. These adaptations and facilities are designed specifically for people with disabilities to overcome physical limitations and access products or services.

Next, we delve into inclusive design, which focuses on the design process itself. Inclusive design aims to create products that can be enjoyed by all populations, regardless of their physical conditions. Designers consider people of all characteristics when designing a product, allowing for customization based on individual needs.

We highlight that accessibility is a part of inclusive design, but not the other way around. Designers need to ensure that their digital products are accessible to the widest range of demographics, including people with disabilities, to create an inclusive user experience.

We emphasize the importance of incorporating both accessibility and inclusive design principles in the design process to create products that are usable and enjoyable by everyone, regardless of their abilities. Join us in this video as we delve into the differences between accessibility and inclusive design and their significance in creating an inclusive user experience for all.

In this video's description, your phrase "suffering from chronic disability" is not a productive or inclusive way of viewing disability. Associating disability with suffering is harmful. You can just say "About 15% of the world's population are people who have a disability."
