In Blender 2.93, the new cycles persistent data feature can drastically speed up render times in heavy scenes. It is an upgrade from the previous persistent images. In this tutorial Karim Joseph explains the new feature and how we can use it.

Hi, it's a nice feature BUT I recommend to check this feature just before the final render ! BECAUSE I experienced that, if it's 'ON', and you render some stills while working on the scene and you change for example the world HDRI, you won't see an update in the next still renders UNTIL you change something in the render settings, to force the cache to rebuild.

So beware of, that the cache isn't useful, when still doing test renderings.

Sounds great, why wouldnt this feature be on permanently? Even if its off, rendering a frame would use the same amount of memory to calculate the scene for a frame, wouldnt it?
So if its on, its going to use the memory also, but just calculate it once right?
