This song reminds me of all the good and bad memories I had as a child. Ignorance can be a curse or a blessing to a child; all the good memories we had as children are just fragments of our mind now.

The opening to me feels like your a kid and you go back to your favourite arcade game only to find a deeper meaning within it now that your older

It feels like the characters are trapped inside, and there fully aware of it. Asking for your help to set their souls free.

So through long battles, troubling tales, you meet the final boss.

He kills your over and over again, but something screams from within. Telling you to keep on going. To persist through it all. A million souls all at once chanting your name, cheering you on in the fight towards these lost ghosts freedom. Another chance to take him on.

And you defeat him. It’s sort of bittersweet. Your favourite game has a new cast. I guess it was the original, but the old ones you grew up with have been freed.

And the game is exactly how it used to be. A simple platformer with no real plot other than getting the highest score.

It saddens you, but a voice whispers out. And extends its hands.

“Thank you. For playing.”
