New Electric Installation with In Depth and Detailed How to:

Being on a budget, I decided to do both electrical service installs on my mobile homes. We have 2 mobile homes on the park at the moment, and the electrical service has to be inspected now. Then AEP will install power poles to reach my property. Don't forget to give a huge thumbs up and hit that red button!

Man I respect you showing your mistake and not just cutting and editing it to make it look like you didn't cut that line too short, your a beast man thank you for the video

I could be wrong but it looks like you bonded at the main panel and the outside disconnect. You should only be bonded at the first means of disconnect.

You almost cut the other wire with the saw saw. Good video. Brave enough to show your mistake. Others won't do it. Thanks again for the video.

I am a Supplier for electrical material in Charlotte, NC. Gives me so much respect for all the electricians I supply and it also shows me how I play a part in the job they do everyday!

I feel ya on that being hard. I can’t imagine yourself but my uncle shoved em up through while I was inside on a desk yanking them through. Yes the ear beating was worse than my dad when I didn’t hold the flashlight in the right spot 😂

Yes, we ALL do it a different way. You made a noble effort despite your improper training.

Seeing this vid built my confidence seeing im not the only one that cuts myself short sometimes and am the only one doing things myself. Truly helped me in more than just informative, cross my fingers to have my meter box ready

This guy is the reason safety videos exist. I can only imagine the number of DIYers that cut their fingers off or burned their trailers down.

Just a few tips, if you mount the boxes it is much easier to work on those cables. I would put an expansion coupling on the conduit going to the house. And I would use a ratcheting cutter on the cable. Don’t give cables a hair cut to make them fit, get a bigger lug. Your ground rod wire(GEC)goes to the neutral buss not the ground buss. Then the neutral buss is connected to the case with the green bonding screw.

Hi did you have to add those big lugs at the bottom? Or did it come with the box? Can you share links with us please

What about the grease that should always be used on aluminum?

Does it matters where u put ur hot wires ? Or it can be in any of those Two lugs

My journeyman always told me to never degrade the wires at all does that matter for the ground also

When I’m cutting something with a saw or multi tool tgat I don’t want to chance cutting something else, I put something between the two so if I slip, the blade hits that and not the wires. Recently had to shorten s stubbed up plastic pipe that had a wire inside. I slipped a scrap of conduit inside the plastic, shielding the wire, cut plastic, zero chance of hitting wire, thanks
