In this video, After the Burial's Justin Lowe performs a song off their latest release, 2013's "Wolves Within", and also explains his experience with the new Ibanez RG90BKP 9-string electric guitar.

Rest in Peace Justin Lowe.

After The Burial is a progressive metal band from Twin Cities, MN. Their music features the use of extended-range instruments, such as 7 and 8-string guitars and alternate tunings to showcase the impressive range of their Ibanez instruments. As two of the first adopters of the 8-string RG models, ATB's guitarists Justin Lowe and Trent Hafdahl continue to push the limits of what's possible on electric guitar, while bassist Lee Foral uses his BTBs to help build a foundation to the band's heavy sound.

Anyone else come back to this from time to time?

So fucking sad but he was just such a phenomenal musician and had such insane rhythm writing.

RIP Justin and hope everyone is safe during quarantine

There's something so satisfying about that lowest string.

Didn't know him or the band. But heard the news and thought I should hear his stuff to show my respect.

Ive never cried for someone who i never really knew passing away. After the breakdown he had a week or 2 ago, i was hoping everything would be ok, and it was just abit of a lapse for him. Then i heard he was missing. His sister found his car. Police were searching for a few days. I knew what had happened deep inside me, but i didnt want to admit it. I saw the news 4 hours ago... i sat there for half an hour, just looking at one picture of him, crying. Its hard to take in. Still feels completely surreal. Im happy i got to see him before he passed, he played the intro to beserker behind his head. Ha, amazing. I just wish i could've been there for him. I will truly miss the guy.

R.I.P Justin Lowe. If only you knew how many people were willing to help you, how many people you've helped through your music and relaxed personallity. Maybe things wouldve been different.

The way that you pronounced and annunciated your riff makes it sound as if it is talking, telling a story even.

People still come to see your art, your passion, and they still measure themselves up to you. I know that I do, and I know the mountain is a very tall and steep climb.

Thank you for pushing me to keep going, Justin.

Rest in peace Justin. You will never know how sorely your creativity will be missed by me your band was the reason i bought an 8 string in the first place.

R.i.p. Justin. I know its been over 6 years since he passed but I never knew him till like October 2021 and he has become such an influential figure in my life and music playing career and I have never really had a musician make me feel at peace with just 8 strings and skill and talent.

A true master of his craft. Unfortunately some of the greatest minds are some of the most unstable as well. rest in peace Justin

Damn. The feels. If I were his parents I would watch this all the time and would not stop thinking of how proud I was of my son.

I'll never forget just hanging with Justin in McAllen tx, before he performed I had a conversation with him about his approach to music and metal. He was so genuine in his personality and was fucking cool as hell. Even got to talk about the weather going on outside lol told me he was always fascinated by the weather, even had a Doppler rader app on his phone. Best 30 mins of the night talking to this genius and legend. RIP Justin
