"Falling" is a 1977 song by Lenny LeBlanc and Pete Carr. It was their highest-charting single, peaking at #13 in the United States during the winter of 1978. It was the first of two charting singles from their Midnight Light LP.

"Falling" spent 28 weeks on the American charts. On the Cash Box chart, the song reached #11. "Falling" also hit #11 on the Adult Contemporary chart as well as the Canadian Pop Singles chart.

A song originally recorded by LeBlanc in 1976, "Sharing the Night Together," became a bigger hit than "Falling" when covered and released by Dr. Hook in the fall of 1978. (U.S. #6, Canada #3)

Beautiful Song. Mr. Carr here doing some of that guitar magic he did for Bob Seger on Main Street. Sadly we lost Pete Carr on June 27, 2020. Just a young 70. Now that I am within striking distance of that chronological age it feels young to me.

This was likely a huge hit on the easy listening radio as it was in the Hot 100 for 17 weeks before it finally reached the top 40 and started getting airplay on such stations. Great relaxing memories here of early 1978. Never gets dated. I hum it all the time.
