How to Use the UNIQUE Function in Exel - Tutorial

See how you can use the UNIQUE function in Excel to get a list of unique values from your data. The UNIQUE function has to be one of the easiest ways to find unique values in your data!

Currently only available to Office 365 users, this function works by returning a list of unique values from your data. It should be available in newer versions of Excel too.

Hi Acosta, thanks so much for sharing your videos. I am hoping you can help me find a solution to flag incorrect entries on a staffing schedule in excel. For example, let’s say we want to staff a warehouse for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Each shift is required to have a minimum of 5 staff listed on worksheet in the format “John Doe LS”. Additionally, each shift must have at least 2 lead staff (LS) scheduled. The other 3 staff can be a combination of (LS) and regular stock workers. What system can be used in excel to ensure this requirement is met during scheduling? I am looking for a way to flag the scheduler (possibly highlighting a range of cells) in excel if the criteria is unmet during scheduling.
