Nieuw Amsterdam: Balcony/Verandah Cabin Tour (Holland America)

We sailed on the Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam to Alaska in May of 2019.

Our Category V balcony stateroom -- which Holland America calls a Verandah -- was located on Deck 6 mid-ship on the port side, or left side. The room could accommodate 3 people. Our room included two single beds that were converted to one queen-sized bed and a couch that was converted nightly into a sofa bed for our little JellyBean.

Thank very helpful and clear tour. Thank you for pointing out the electrical outlets. I see that there are two European outlets in the desk area so we will know to bring a US to European adapter to allow more devices to be plugged in.

WHY won’t HA give data on the number of electrical outlets (both 120 vac and charging ports) in each verandah stateroom

Just returned from my first cruise on Holland America. Paid for a veranda room. So disappointed when I entered the room. The balcony was completely blocked by life boats. What a bummer. TV went off three nights. I might rate my cruise a 6 out of ten. May never want to cruise again.
