Guitars don't really need any output below 50-60hz. Hi-passing that out completely really helps. Spot clean lo-mids from the guitars as needed.

Mute conflicting tracks, very often you have voicings that are conflicting or not complementary causing that “harmonic density”.

Every instrument has its own little spot in the freq range.
