Perfecting Ten Paramis Chant

This chant is a recollection of the Buddha’s path of building the ten paramis.

The ten qualities/ Paramis are:

Dāna
– generous, giving 布施
• Sīla
– virtuous, well discipline 持戒
• Nekkhamma
– renunciation, selfless 出离, 无私
• Paññā
– wisdom, insight 智慧
• Viriya
– energetic, diligence 精進
• Khanti
– patience, tolerance 忍辱
• Sacca
– truthful, honest 诚实
• Adhiṭṭhāna
– determination 决心
• Mettā
– loving-kindness 慈悲
• Upekkhā
– equanimity 舍

The chant goes like this:

Dāna pāramī sampanno,
Endowed with the perfection of giving,
具足普通 布施 波罗蜜，

Dāna upapāramī sampanno,
endowed with the higher perfection of giving,
具足上乘 布施 波罗蜜，

Dāna paramatthapāramī sampanno,
endowed with the ultimate perfection of giving,
具足最高 布施 波罗蜜。

mettā maitrī karuṇā mudītā upekkhā
pāramī sampanno,
endowed with the perfection of loving kindness, friendliness, compassion, sympathetic joy & equanimity,
慈心, 友情, 悲心, 喜心, 舍心 波罗蜜 皆具足。

itipi so bhagavā.
so indeed is the Blessed One.
那位世尊即是如此
