Bit of a late comment, but as someone who has a couple years of moving experience. Easiest way to do it is to disconnect the the upper portion (the panel and arms attached to it) from the bottom (actual motor, platform). Usually by taking off the motor cover you can access the bolts holding the top portion on and disconnect the power supply to the panel.

This way truly saves time and energy, especially when removing from a basement with very tight stairways and helps prevent any damage to walls from the bottom legs sticking out.

There is a reason you can often find them for fee if you want to remove them from Buddy's basement.

I just bought one which weighs over 100 kg. It should be carried upstairs but still figuring out whether I should remove the heavy parts such as motor, belt, board inside the belt and rollers or get more man power (no room for extra hands, tho).
