Metro will offer free rides on all trains and buses Wednesday for the fifth annual California Clean Air Day.

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and North County Transit District (NCTD) will be hosting rider appreciation events at six transit centers throughout the region. Riders will be given freebies and have the chances to win prizes to celebrate Free Ride Day, while supplies last.

"Whether you are going to work, school, running errands, or choosing to explore more of San Diego, Free Ride Day gives you the perfect opportunity to leave the car at home, take transit, and join the clean air movement across the state of California," said Nathan Fletcher, MTS Board Chair and Chair, San Diego County Board of Supervisors. "Reducing our carbon footprint is critical to fight climate change, and clean transit options are key to improving air quality in our communities."

Used it exclusively for over 30 years.
Just don’t ride on Sunday unless you like waiting an hour between buses.😂

Good luck everyone, try not to get attacked by the homeless who occupy the trolleys and trolley stations.
