How Thelxie Explains that Teyvat is FAKE | Genshin Impact Theory Speculation

This is a speculation and theory video about a discussion we had relating to Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures Event. Maybe I am overthinking this... but Thelxie's situation about Zuria's son might be hinting and something way more than the event outlines initially.

This reminded me of a couple lines from Raiden's demo:
"Fantasy can only survive with an underlying reality
Reality is the stillness buried deep beneath the illusion
This is eternity"

Do you think this might've been hinting at this?

This discovery of how the ley lines apply “snapchat filters” to reality could help explain how the abyssal dragons (Durin and Elynas) felt about how they were approaching the World vs how they were perceived, same with the Melusines who have that same residual “energy” or “constitution”. Truly awesome.

I also think it's interesting that all other Hoyoverse games take place in futuristic worlds, yet Genshin's world is more magical and fantastical. It really does feel like we're inside some type of fantasy world that isn't reality.

Genshin Impacts overarching theme explores the ideals of Fakes/Copies vs Originals. Its the same with Reality vs Fantasy. Many didn't understand it at the time, but Raiden Shogun/Ei's Arc is when the themes went in full force. Her Character Arcs shows the dangers of just thinking of this as "Fantasy", the themes are all over her character trailer: "Only Through Eternity are you closest to the Heavenly Principles. Lighting is eternal, the world is but a shadow. Fantasy can only survive with an underlying reality, Reality is the stillness buried deeps beneath the illusion(The abyss?), This is Eternity." also the last haiku "Waking world, you seem, woven from the stuff of dreams."

Bro, for someone who self proclaimed himself as a "washed up Genshin lore & theory creator", you be cooking hard.
Don't stop cooking this good! 👌

They’ve been telling us for awhile now that everything we see and experience is bullshit, which is why the twin told us that once we see the truth of this world, you’ll understand why they’re with the abyss. Nahida let it slip too: everything runs on a loop. This journey into the past we’re on is just taking us back to the beginning of this dream

This is really interesting because there's a recent theory about the Flowers for Princess Fischl that says that, essentially, the first descender is the true Fischl spoken of in the book. Fischl was sent to whatever Teyvat is in reality for something, decided to start dreaming the world we see, and the descenders since have been sent to retrieve her and/or whatever the original mission was about - possibly the Genesis Pearl. I think ever since the first Samsara all the way back in 3.0, even the "real" dreams we saw in GAA 2.8, I think they've been priming us about the whole world being a series of domain-dreams.

I just did Yoimiya's SQ2 days after I finished the Thelxie event. It explains a LOT esp when the star resembles the fates we use for wishes. Please read the Intertwined Fate description. It's a huge hint.

honestly, i've got this strange image in my head that the real Teyvat is actually completely different, The Teyvat we see now might just be a fantasy illusion created by the world. how crazy would it be if in the future the leylines malfunction in a part of the game, and all of a sudden its a dead and cold technological area with no fantasy to be seen, like a Honkai Impact type area.

Putting his helm on is basically we are entering introverts’ world.

And what did MC sees is just visualization of her resolve and a proper goodbye with her son.

I mean, Teyvat is technically all a video game. Irminsul looks like the memory chip

The whole thing in Fontaine with fairy tales being so prevalent and constantly referenced and now fantasy being real, reminds me a lot of how we learned in Sumeru that dreams can alter/affect reality. Very neat!

Reality is the stillness buried deep beneath the illusion. This is Eternity!

It's all just The Matrix. Descenders are "Neo". NPCs are people in pods. Vision-holders are the awakened, who have more power over the Matrix (quite often linked to the strength of will). Abyssal creatures would be Sentinels and abyssal lectors/baptists are Agents. And blood of abyssal creatures works like recoding of one's dna, as shown by Jakob.

Matrix had several resets before the first movie, which would be the Samsaras in Genshin that Ordo mentioned.

The 3rd descender dying and creating Gnosis would be similar to Neo's death in the thirds movie and the subsequent use of his energy ("code"/"dna") to support the Matrix itself, as explained in the 4th movie.

"what is worse? harsh reality or white lies?" that's really a great way to look at it. at first i thought the abyss is the bad guy, but now celestia also take that place. if i were to choose i don't know which one to pick but i know for sure ill trust neuvillette judgement in a heartbeat lol
also thank you for the video island! if it not for this video ill just see this event as allegory of the fallen kingdom of khaenriah, not a single thought about this being teyvat is a fantasy world. really good food-for-thought video o/

One thing to notice is that in new area there's a note called
Unknown records of attribution (1)
It mentions someone found the real truth and the said person said the land where khaenri'an lived is a place that belongs to all humans rather than something of abyss

Khaenri'ah is said to be rubble of past
Which is why i think teyvat is upside down unified civilization used to live bellow current teyvat and what we consider monsters are actually humans of past leyline makes them looks like monster's as they are cursed beings

Also in the new area khaenri'ah is said to be heavily related to Evolution which makes me believe celestia to stop the corruption they reverted most of the races back to their true self not like they were like that and seelies are actually the best example

4:40 It makes sense because ultimately Elynas was the creation of Rhinedottir and that woman hails from Khaenri'ah. Also when I just did the Argenti companion quest in star rail i wondered if same is happening with us seeing different things and melusine seeing different things.

One time though, while collecting pages for the Book of Revealing, the melusine called Canotila saw a better place which was ultimately Mary Ann's house meanwhile we saw the enkanomiyan ruins and monsters along with the rift that was the part of the prophecy.

so if monsters appear out of the leylines, it would make sense that they were something else in the past.

i also wanted to ask if anyone has seen that K-Drama called Extraordinary You, ngl Teyvat feels like that to me

Traveler is just suffering loneliness syndrome from losing their sibling. The entire Genshin story is him being a hero to get her back. Well, not actually. O.O

What a twist that'd be, eh?
