The mom's story was tragic too. She was forced to neglect her son. She was working her butt off for her son and that a-hole. And in the end, she got this. I wish she didn't lash out and directly threaten him. That monster killed that innocent kid, and he still loved his monster of a dad.

As they say: "Every kid deserves a parent. Not every parent deserves a kid".

The most horrific part of the game is that things like this do happen. There are countless children whom are suffering in these abusive or neglectful households. And...some do end up loosing their lives. I hate how accurate some parts of this game is.

That also explans why Doll Ron has a crooked neck. Its cause Rons neck is broken when he got strangled

Here is the full timeline I can get out of it.
1. Dad and Mom had an argument, which led to the mom leaving that night and the dad did him and hid him in the closet.
2. The dad left the house the next day due to guilt / to freed from his crime.
3. The mom came home the next day late as always but didnt't see the dad, so she thought he left due to her threat.
4. Ron's ghost could only be seen at night, which meant everytime she came home, her son was always there, so she didn't realize he was already gone.
5. The doll / Ron's inner self tried to have Ron made peace with what happened, but since the horror was too traumatized for the child to bear, he just repressed that memories again and again. This is why the mom talked about how Ron talked different stories everyday, but the doll had always been a part of them.
6. As a last straw, instead of having Ron experience the horror of what the dad did to him directly, the doll created the Mr. Red Face's version of his dad and made Ron defeat him to save his parents and establish a bit of peace of mind, so hopefully, Ron didn't break and reset once again. This worked and Ron finally realized what happened.
7. At the final day, the mom decided to stay home with Ron. However, when she woke up in the day, she didn't see Ron at the dad's bed ('cause he couldn't appear at day time). She searched for him and found him in the closet.

You're not going to lie the ending of this game is pretty sad. That little boy did not deserve to die the way he did 😢

Poor Ron, he didn’t deserve to die, and he definitely didn’t deserve a father like that! Glad he got what was coming to him.

This story was so twisted and the game isn’t scary per say but the theme and story behind it. The fact that this can be a reality(not the ghost part).

This game is so fricking sad- but the little foot wiggle that lil Ron does at 00:06 is so adorable. He’s so smol, so precious.

The way i realized that the bottle scene at the end, how the glass smash was also the exact scene when the doll was using its powers mimicking the dad's drinking habits at the table just for ron to remember 😭

Such a simple story, but very effective. I look forward to what's next in the Bad Parenting saga. Looks like the dev is going for the self contained story approach in future chapters/games.

Honestly, the doll being Ron's "knowing part" and "trying to get him to remember" can be seen as Ron coping – children cope through playing out as what they experienced, often they do it over and over again. Also, since getting medicine for hallucinations isn't exactly immediate and in most places you'd need a prescription, I'm assuming Ron always was mentally ill, and that's why his father blamed him and killed him.

This is honestly one of the saddest and most messed up games I’ve ever seen

The amount of foreshadowing the ending, is so cleverly done that it's honestly impressive

I have a theory i want to share!

Mr Redface is the spirit of drunkness or alcohol. Note how at the end of the game when the dad turns into Mr Redface, its only after he gets drunk. The doll states that Mr Redface takes away bad parents. Many bad parents turn to alcoholism, so that makes sense. Mr Redface probably takes away the children to his realm when they get killed by their drunk parents, explaining why Ron and the other kids are all dead and looking for their parents.

I may be wrong but I don't think that the object within the afterlife realm represents how they died but rather where their bodies are hidden. Since Ron got strangled to death yet his neck isn't broken in the afterlife part but is within a closet, which is exactly where the dad (Mr. Red face) hid him. So one of the kids was hidden in a trench, the other in a ruined car, and the last one was had probably his corpse burned

I don’t think the kids at the end are showing how they died, they’re showing where their bodies were left.

The baby (I’m assuming it’s a diaper) was dumped in the trunk of a car. The girl was buried. The boy with the red hair was burnt. And Ron, our protagonist, was hidden in the closet.

I didn't have bad parents growing up but this game hurts me because it reminds me that others do have bad parents, and it makes me sad.

The son's loyalty is crazy imagine still thinking your dad is good when in reality he literally has a inhuman behavior towards the son being drunk and strangling the son to death

When I finished watching 8-BitRyan play this I went to hug my dad, just to remind myself that I’m with a good family. I feel so bad for kids who have abusive parents.
