I'm so glad you made this video! I love reading books centered on disability but finding ones that accurately portray what it's like to be disabled without relying on tropes and problematic storylines is ridiculously difficult. My absolute favorite book featuring disabled characters is Sick Kids in Love by Hannah Moskowitz. It's slightly more focused on chronic illness than disability but it still does a really excellent job of accurately portraying a lot of the nuances of being a young person with a disability, particularly an invisible one. It's a YA book but I highly recommend it to anyone.

I want to point out that in the show Speechless, what a great roll Minnie Driver played!  They really pushed that mama bear theme with her and I think it really added a lot to the show to give people an idea of what life is like for a mom of a special needs child.
