I will be adding a hybrid Super to my apiary next Spring. Very happy with my Flow Hive II. Had it for 3 years now and we get about 17 to 25 lbs of yummy So Cal Wildflower honey and leave them the rest. ❤ Love your invention Cedar.

I live on disability due to a work injury and am on a fixed income. I can't afford the full system but maybe just using the supper on an old used system I can buy locally would fit into my budget. I am trying to reduce/eliminate processed sugar in my diet with local natural honey. Thanks for posting and for having an economical approach for those on fixed incomes.

My question is, after assembling the flow hive, how/what do you do to make the bees live in the hive? Do I have to buy bees? Do they come by themselves? I have no idea

Could i attach another brood box to the bottom of a hive, hive 2 or hive 2+? Ive read that having multiple broods can help the stability of the hive. Also, in the winter, do you need to allow the queen into the hive to prevent her freezing?
