Hideaway - JOHNNY WINTER -Guitar Cover-

I'm 63 and have been a fan of Johnny's for 50 years. I've seen him several times over the years. I remember when Johnny began opening his shows back in the late 80's and thru the 90's with this Freddie King Classic! Many great guitarist came out of Texas and Freddie King was one of my favorites. Freddie King composed many Blues instrumentals in his early years, but Hideaway is by far his most popular. Many Blues Rockers have covered it, but Johnny took it over and used it to open many of his show, some times playing 8 to 16 minute versions. You do an amazing job and it fills my heart with joy to see younger guitarist like yourself paying tribute to the Texas Guitar Slinging BAD ASS!!! Thank you so much!

I've been listening to Johnny Winter for a long time. I have to say this by far is the best cover of Johnny I have ever heard. You hit every note to perfection. I've even loaded your version to my flash drive to listen to in my car. Thanks and please do some more.

I've viewed many guitarist on You Tube showing off their Johnny Winter licks, which is cool to see the love many younger guitarist have for the legendary Johnny, but I have never seen any use a thumb pick as you do. Johnny started out playing with a thumb pick and said he could never play using a flat pick. Very cool to see (and hear) you jammin' the proper JOHNNY way!

I couldn't tell you how many times I've I stood right in front of JW (stage right) and watched him play that song. That was hands down the best version of JW's hideaway!!! Great job! I can play a good Hideaway, but nobody played it like Johnny! RIP. You got it!

Basic blues and a "touch" of Winter can lead to some cold-hearted blues! Awesome job!!!
