You can here the short/toilet smoke at 0:09, his mates cover long and karrigan either pushed the smoke or fell back. Since 1 has Long and 1 Long to Toilets he can check if he pushed the smoke through short after checking party. At 0:35 he spots his shoulder crossing behind boxes. Thats why he checks both angles left and right from box and bank because he couldnt have crossed to truck/stairs in that time.
