Parachute release by Jolly Logic, check out my review.

The Chute Release can be set to open the parachute closer to the ground, which will cause the rocket to land nearer to the launch area. This can save numerous steps and potentially prevent the loss of a rocket.

I have been using them for several years now and they are great and work without any issues. I just dread getting one caught in the top of a 50 ft tree or draped over a power-line.

Thank you for the demonstration. I have been considering getting one of those. Might try one out.

Definitely a great product. Allows you to fly your simple, motor eject rockets higher, on bigger motors with less chance of it drifting away on the chute. I will probably buy a second one. It would be nice if Jolly Logic could incorporate the function of the Altimeter 2 or 3 into it as well. You could control your chute and get flight data form one device.

It’s a hell of a piece of equipment. Mine has survived 3 catos, a ballistic return and a shredded chute and it’s still trucking.

This a very nice addition....but i would think the pressures from the ejection charge would somehow mess with the altimeter pressure sensor...great video...👍

This is really cool! Does it have to be used in a dual deployment configuration? I would imagine it would be a massive amount of stress on the rocket if it were to suddenly deploy at 400 feet, no?

I have one of these but affraid to use it after my j270 motor ejected 8 seconds early, destroying my shockcord and chute haha. If i would have used the JLCR, i would have lost it on my first try and would be out 140$ haha
