Greek chicken with orzo | Dish Podcast

Nick and Angela welcome a fashion icon to Dish HQ.

Born in Pennsylvania, Billy Porter was destined for greatness. In this episode, Billy spills all the juicy details on his ever-evolving career—from releasing an album while on jury duty to winning Star Search (1992). He went on to become a Broadway icon, earning a Tony for Kinky Boots (2013) and later winning an Emmy for his powerful role as Pray Tell in Pose (2018).

Nick shakes up the margaritas while Angela serves up a mouthwatering Greek chicken with orzo. And to cheers? A glass of Le Mesnil Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru Brut, NV.
Even though he’s only been in the UK for a few months, Billy has already formed some strong–and potentially questionable–opinions. Our trio discuss Billy’s views on Jerusalem artichokes, Christmas in England, and the correct way to pronounce your herbs!

He also channels his inner fairy godmother, sprinkling some of his signature Porter wisdom and sharing invaluable life lessons from his incredible late mother—especially the importance of self-care.

This recipe with the stuffing in the bird and the orzo beneath might make it to my Easter dinner table for the non pork eaters. It looks super delicious! Loved this episode with Billy Porter. Wishing I could pop over the pond to see his East End debut. He will be amazing (as always)

And here I was, thinking the neck of a chicken was the bit that connects to the head, rather than the hole between its legs. 🤯

Have used this recipe from Waitrose for years, but it makes FAR too much stuffing (again, perhaps Waitrose don’t know their chicken head from their bottom). I would reduce the stuffing by at least half, maybe two-thirds, but increase the slightly stingy Orzo quantity.

Just sounded so wrong when Ange initially pronounced oregano the US way 😂

what really blows my mind as a North American is that Brits call Cilantro - Coriander. I thought they were totally different
