Mach Loop, Cad West - LFA7 - Photography & Video.
I decided to take a look through some aviation archives, whilst making the most of my down time during the Coronavirus and thought I would make a vlog of a trip we made to Snowdonia in Wales. We headed to the Mach Loop, Cad West LFA7, near to Machynlleth, better known as "The Mach Loop" where both the RAF and USAF carry out low flying training through the hills. We were very lucky with several passes from USAF F-15E's & C's. Some days can be spent on the hills without seeing one aircraft, so luck was definitely on our side!

The day started off very overcast with cloud hugging the hill side! After an hour or so the mist cleared and gave us some great views. It wasn't long before jets noise could be heard fast approaching! Grabbing the gear and jumping out of the tent, I aimed the 400 towards the noise and focussed! Heres's the results.

Absolutely fantastic images Mark and thanks for all the info..would love to have a trip here but not sure it gets used as much by the RAF nowadays..anyway I will have to settle for some trees instead, just off to Savernake for a couple of hours..all the best mate..

Mark, that was wonderful. I love aircraft, especially military aircraft. I live in the U.S. and was intending to go to Death Valley ( rainbow canyon ) but there was an accident at the end of last year. I don't think there will be any flying there anytime soon; perhaps training there will be terminated altogether. Anyway Mark, thanks for the video, I like it.

Fabulous shots, again! Love the vapour on the plane bodies. It's just such a shame it's not going on at the moment :( otherwise I'd be there now. Is there 4G signal on the hills there?

Brilliant, never been, I would imagine it's exhilarating, especially loved the vapour .While you're on down time, maybe you could do a whats in my bag video .
